River course?
A. Please click here for information regarding what is covered during the course. |
|
Q. Why is Catia On The
River taught in the Childress' home/office training facility?
A. For several reasons: studies have shown that a relaxed atmosphere is conducive to the learning experience. Catia On The River provides an intimate, comfortable setting in which to learn CATIA®. Working out of their home/office also allows the Childress' to keep costs down. They pass this savings on to course participants in the form of lower tuition fees. Last, but not least...THE great view!!! |
|
Q. I live too far to commute,
is lodging available?
A. Yes, lodging is available. The Childress' have arranged special discounted rates with local area hotels/motels and Bed and Breakfasts. For those that enjoy camping, the Algonac State Park is located just two miles north of the Childress' home/office training facility. It's located on the St. Clair River and offers a picturesque view of the river and the passing freighters. |

Q. What is there to do in Algonac when I'm not
training?
A. While the city of Algonac is a throwback to a simpler day and time, you'll find there's plenty to do in and around the Algonac area in terms of entertainment. You can enjoy an ice cream while watching freighters pass by, or take a leisurely stroll along the boardwalk at the Algonac City Park. The Algonac area offers golf, fishing, camping, boating, bowling, museums, and nature trails. In addition, there are several movie theaters a short distance away. There's no shortage of places to dine. The Blue Duck Inn is a local tradition, and you can't beat the cuisine, and the view of the river, at MacRae's Big River Grill. You must try their Clam Chowder...it's the absolute best. Just up the river in Port Huron, you can tour the Fort Gratiot Light House and the Huron Lightship Museum. Several historic tours are also available. Just across the Blue Water Bridge in Sarnia, Canada, you'll find a casino, as well as several "Gentleman's Clubs". Just make sure you're back in time for class in the morning. :-) |
